When, Where, Who?

When?

The 2010 Coupe Gordon Bennett will be held around the full moon, in September 2010. The provisional timetable is as follows:

Thursday 23rd September 2010

• Pilot Registration

Friday 24th September 2010

• General Briefing and Opening Ceremony

Saturday 25th until Wednesday 29th September 2010

• Launch window. Once the weather is confirmed as suitable for a launch in the evening, inflation will begin. Inflation can take up to 8 hours.

Saturday 2nd October

• (subject to the race having ended and the teams returned): Awards Banquet

Where?

The race will start from Ashton Court in Bristol, the venue for the Bristol Balloon Fiesta and many previous gas ascents.

Who?

Each country is allowed to enter up to three teams. Entries are now open and close on 26th April 2010. A list of entrants will be available on this website as soon as they are confirmed. A list of counties that have so far replied can be found here
