Stefan Handl

Stefan has been infected with the Air Sports virus since 1989. He began as paraglider, and in 1996 he received his balloon licence and his inspectors licence for Hot-Air and Gas Balloons. In 2002 he added a Hot Air Airship licence to his portfolio. Subsequently, he was a competitor in four Gordon Bennett races. After "retiring" as a competitor, he became Safety Officer or Deputy Event Director of several Gordon Bennett Races.
Stefan is also a member of the Gas Balloon working group and the Education Saftey Subcommittee of the FAI Ballooning Commission
